Privacy policy

This policy describes how the site processes visitor data, in accordance with Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ “On Personal Data”. The operator is Roman Popov; contact: roman@popovroman.com.

What is collected

The site does not ask for or store names, addresses or phone numbers: there are no sign-up, order or newsletter forms. The only data that may be processed is anonymised visit statistics via Yandex.Metrika: the pages you came from and opened, device and browser type, approximate region, and an anonymised IP address.

If you write to the address above, your letter and return address are seen only by the author, are used solely to reply, and are passed on to no one.

Cookies and consent

Yandex.Metrika cookies are set only after you press “Accept” in the banner at the bottom of the screen. Before that the counter is not loaded and no requests are sent to any analytics service. If you press “Decline”, analytics stays off — the site works in full, including reading, book downloads and reading settings.

You can withdraw consent at any time: the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page brings the banner back and lets you choose a different answer. Statistics already collected remain with Yandex on its own terms; cookies can also be removed through your browser.

Who the data is shared with

Anonymised statistics are processed by Yandex LLC as a processor, on servers located in the Russian Federation, under the Yandex privacy policy. There are no other recipients; data is never sold or used for advertising.

Retention and your rights

Metrika statistics are kept for the periods set by that service; email correspondence is kept for as long as it is needed. You may request information about the processing of your data, its correction, blocking or deletion, and you may withdraw consent — write to roman@popovroman.com and you will receive an answer within 30 days (usually within a week).

Stored only in your browser

Your answer to the cookie banner, the reading settings (font size and theme) and the last chapter you opened are kept in your device’s localStorage. They are never sent anywhere and are not available to the author.
